The High Times Nominees for Best Unreleased Movie:

Cocaine Angel (Michael Tully)
Commune (Jonathan Berman)
Music is My Life, Politics My Mistress (Donnie L. Betts)
Ritalin Junkies (Dave Bumba)
Wetlands Preserved (Dean Budnick)

In my mind I have no expectation to win; I was thrilled, just to be mentioned. As long as the film doesn't go to some movie about black-haired twenty-somethings that sit around a coffee shop and take psuedo-intellectual jabs at social commentary. Or a documentary.

I researched the competition the best I could. I lost so bad. I'm up against a drug addict drama, a movie that takes place in a Free Love hippy commune, and two documentaries. These people used real video cameras and spent substantial amounts of money on the movie. But either way, I'm going to New York.

I feel like a C-list celebrity

10/27/2006 -- Rats. Although I didn't win, it was a Great Experience.
